Ralph's Ranch: A Dog Rescue Facility is a non-profit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs that lack social skills. We are working toward the day when no deserving companion animal is euthanized for lack of a home.
Ralph's Ranch receives dogs from overcrowded shelters, other rescue groups, and individuals who can no longer handle behavioral issues. Our highly trained, professional staff works on chronic shyness, fear biting, dog aggression, leadership problems and kennel psychosis, and we provide care and homes until they can be placed in forever homes.

Ralph's Ranch was unofficially started in 2015 by Apache Farms after several dogs, that were unadoptable, were rescued from individuals. Next, other rescue organizations called to see if Apache Farms would take dogs with problems that they did not have the skills to handle. We also provided assistance to people who were considering surrendering or euthanizing dogs in an effort to keep them in their homes or rehome them outside the shelter system.
WE ARE OFF TO A GOOD START See Ralph's Ranch: A Dog Rescue Facility (formerly Apache Farms) in the video below:
Because of the level of expertise and experience the staff has in dog behavior Ralph's Ranch has trained service dogs for numerous individuals and agencies like VA Dogs of Texas. See how training and placing dogs work here.
Paul, Blayze and Chelsea supervise play groups of dogs that learn to socialize together, burn off excess energy, and have fun! Watch some of the action daily on Facebook. Owners benefit from improved behavior at home. This is good for all dogs but especially those that are shy, don't have playmates at home, never were socialized as puppies, or where owners work so the dogs lie around all day with nothing to do but think up mischief. Totally superior to day care! See how play care works here.
No longer worry about what is going to happen to your dogs when you have to go on a trip. Our lodgers sleep, eat, and play together with their live in house dad, Paul, and the other staff. Since they are not kenneled, they have no time to be lonely for you, and you can catch up with what they are doing each day on Facebook. Absolutely superior to boarding! See how lodging works here.
